FAQ

Hammered by hand, built to outlast you.

Is the price you quote the price I actually pay?+

Yes. Quotes from Copper Wave Works are itemised by material weight, hours, finishing method, and shipping. If something changes during the build. A design adjustment you request, for example. Megan will flag it before doing the extra work, not after. There are no surprise line items at invoice time.

How do I pay, and when is the deposit due?+

A 50% deposit is due before work begins, with the balance due before shipping or pickup. Copper Wave Works accepts bank transfer and check. Credit card payments can be arranged through a third-party processor but add a 3% fee, which Megan will tell you about upfront.

Can I visit the workshop to see pieces in person before ordering?+

Yes, by appointment only. The workshop is not a retail space, so visits need to be scheduled in advance. Usually a Tuesday through Friday morning works best. Megan keeps a sample board of patination stages and a few finished pieces on hand. Email first to arrange a time.

What if I need a piece by a specific date. A renovation deadline, a gift, a holiday?+

Tell her upfront. If the schedule allows it, she will say so. If it does not, she will tell you that too, honestly, rather than taking the deposit and scrambling. Rush orders are not offered, but realistic timelines are always discussed before any money changes hands.

Flat fee — no surprises
Do you ship, and how does that work for something as heavy as a sink?+

Yes. Sinks and range hoods ship freight on a pallet, fully wrapped and crated. Smaller pieces like lanterns and planters ship via standard carriers. Megan gets freight quotes before finalising your invoice so the shipping cost is not a surprise. Delivery to most of the continental US takes five to ten business days by freight.
